Awareness in Structures - A Guide for Discrimination-Sensitive Practice
The project expands the focus beyond event awareness to awareness in group and organizational structures. It strengthens democratic and discrimination-sensitive structures in economically weak regions of Saxony by supporting civil society actors to sustainably anchor awareness in their internal group structures. As part of the project, a brochure will be developed and published, focusing on awareness outside of events in long-term group structures.

The project aims to strengthen democratic, diverse, and discrimination-sensitive structures in structurally weak regions of Saxony. Through workshops, consultations, support, and networking, civil society actors are supported in sustainably anchoring awareness and securing democratic spaces in the long term.

The project strengthens democratic and discrimination-sensitive structures in structurally weak regions of Eastern Germany, particularly in Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt, by specifically extending awareness work to rural areas. Through workshops, consultations, support, and networking, civil society actors are supported to sustainably anchor awareness and secure democratic spaces in the long term.

Wir bieten Awareness-Workshops für Veranstaltungsorte an, beraten bei der Erarbeitung eigener Awareness-Konzepte, organisieren Fachtagungen und Runde Tische, um im Austausch zu sein, voneinander und miteinander zu lernen und uns über aktuelle Entwicklungen zu verständigen.

Awareness im Mauerpark
Awareness im Mauerpark
Durch das Pilotprojekt „Awareness im Mauerpark“ trat zum ersten Mal in Berlin ein Awareness-Team im öffentlichen Raum auf, um Betroffene von (sexualisierter) Gewalt und Diskriminierung zu unterstützen. Hierfür wurde von der Initiative Awareness e.V.in Kooperation mit Freunde des Mauerparks e.V. im Vorfeld ein eigenes Konzept entwickelt, das Grundlage für die Einsätze war und allen sekundär Beteiligten vorgestellt wurde.
